Activities

Inspired Path CIC will deliver a range of activities, such as talks, workshops and 1:1 sessions as well as designing interventions, resources and programmes that support the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and families. I’m especially passionate about the powerful role that our mindset can play in shaping emotional wellbeing, while also recognising the importance and interplay of wider psychological, social, developmental and physiological influences.

The support offered through Inspired Path CIC will have a focus on skill-building and sharing practical interventions for supporting growth and future-oriented change.  Evidence-informed methods drawn from a range of disciplines including cognitive behavioural principles, practical mindset and reframing strategies, mindfulness, wellbeing education and elements of neuro-linguistic programming will feed into the programme of work – where children, young people and families will be supported with understanding and applying skills for emotional wellbeing and mindset growth. In addition to sharing this learning as a general approach to nurturing wellbeing, it will also be fed into support across a range of specific areas, including…

– Building confidence and self-esteem
– Anxiety
– Anger
– Stress
– Friendships
– Bullying
– School anxiety and refusal
– Academic/learning engagement – mindset work and practical tools helping to reduce stress, anxiety and overwhelm and boost confidence in abilities, self-belief and motivation
– Parenting support – including helping parents with supporting themselves as well as their children and the parent-child connection.

I have also developed a series of toolkits supporting mental health and wellbeing through my small business, Little Wise Toys.  As part of a broader programme of work, these resources will have a role to play in some of the funded work delivered by Inspired Path CIC, as a way of helping individuals to work with their thoughts and their mindset in helpful and empowering ways. While also allowing parents and carers to apply and reinforce the mental health and wellbeing strategies when back home in their daily lives. Educators and professionals in additional settings will also be able to use the resources and wider learning delivered by Inspired Path CIC to help them with supporting the mental health and wellbeing of the children and young people in their care, thereby extending the impact of the work delivered by Inspired Path CIC in the wider community. As well as through funded opportunities, private 1:1 and group training sessions focused on using the toolkits are also available to parents and professionals supporting C&YP.

As developments evolve, I look forward to updating this page about wider project ideas focused on supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and families that will be taken forward through Inspired Path CIC.
